There are so many ways for you and your family to grow in faith and get connected through Christ Little Rock Kids Ministry! Whether it’s through Christian Education, The Adventure, serving our community, or engaging in meaningful annual events, there’s a place for you here. KIDS MINISTRY REGISTRATION/WAIVER

Sunday School

During Connect Hour Sundays 9:20AM-10:20AM we offer Sunday School for Preschool through 5th Grade!

Sunday School classes meet from August to May.

Kids are split into age-appropriate groups where they have worship, an interactive Bible story time, along with a variety of hands on activities that all connect to their main Bible story for the week.

The Adventure

At Christ Little Rock, we believe in age-appropriate teaching. Families worship together at our services. Preschool through 5th Grade have a dedicated time during the sermon to head off to The Adventure! We escort kids out of church where they join in worship, prayer, and hear the sermon and Bible story with a message that connects with them at their age.

Quest

4th & 5th Grade Youth Group

Quest is our monthly gathering for 4th and 5th graders, meeting one Friday each select month from 5:30–7:30 PM. It’s a space where tweens grow in faith, friendships, and fun.

Each month, students dive into God’s Word, explore their relationship with Christ, and connect with each other through small groups, interactive Bible study, team-building games, and engaging activities. Everything we do ties back to building a strong foundation in Christ—while having a blast along the way.

First Communion Program – 5th Grade

Our First Communion program is an important step in your child’s faith journey, preparing them to receive Communion for the first time and begin their confirmation process.

(5th Grade and Up)

Benchmark 1: My First Catechism Workbook

The journey begins with a meeting between the pastor, the child, and their parents typically in the summer/fall before 5th grade. During this meeting:

  • The child receives My First Catechism Workbook.

  • The workbook is completed at home with guidance and support from parents.

  • The pastor and youth ministry team provide regular check-ins and encouragement.

Eligibility for First Communion Class:

  • To join the First Communion class during Lent, My First Catechism must be completed by the first Wednesday of the class.

  • Students who haven’t finished by then may continue at their own pace, but the final deadline is the first Wednesday after Ash Wednesday.

  • Extensions may be granted under special circumstances, but the workbook must be fully completed to participate in the First Communion class.

First Communion Class

Once the workbook is completed, students attend a four-week First Communion class led by the pastor, using This Is the Feast (CPH).

  • Classes are held weekly for 4 weeks.

  • Attendance takes priority over extracurricular activities.

  • If the student, their parents, and the pastor agree the child is ready, they will celebrate First Communion on Maundy Thursday, marking their official start in the confirmation process.

Prerequisite: Completion of My First Catechism Workbook
